How does the voting process work?
The voting process uses a weighted system. There may be as many as five nominees in a given category, but you will only vote for your top three selections. Starting this year, you must vote for three nominees in each category in order for your vote to be counted for that category. You will assign number 1 to your top nominee, 2 for your second choice and 3 for your final selection.
Do I have to vote in every category?
All qualified voters will be able to vote in every category, though you do not have to vote in every category to complete your ballot.
Do I have to review all nominated work?
No. The ballot will allow you to review all of the nominated titles, but if you have already seen the work, you will be able to skim the clips (or skip them entirely). Commercials, short subjects and student films will have the entire project posted. Production and Character Design will have stills available. Storyboard will include both story reels and the finished sequences.
Do I have to complete the ballot in one sitting?
You are not required to complete your ballot in one sitting. Your selections are saved automatically (no need to use a “submit” button), and you may log in to return to the ballot at any time to continue voting, or even change a vote, as often as needed during the voting period.
